Applies to the BothCam mobile app for iOS (Bundle ID: com.haitran.bothcam) and this page at wearecupely.com.

1. Introduction

BothCam("we," "our," or "us") is a dual-camera app that lets you record photos and videos using the front and back iPhone cameras at the same time. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use BothCam, how it is used, and the choices you have. BothCam does not require an account to use the core camera features.

2. Information We Collect

BothCam is designed so your recordings stay on your device by default. We collect limited data as follows:

  • Photos & videos you capture:Stored locally in the app's on-device gallery on your iPhone. We do not upload your camera recordings to our servers. If you turn on "Save to Photos," exports are saved to your Apple Photos library under your control.
  • Device permissions: Camera and microphone access are used only to capture dual-camera content. Photo library access is used only when you choose to save exports to Photos.
  • Diagnostics & usage data (third-party): We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and fix crashes. These services may receive device identifiers (such as an app instance ID), app version, device model, OS version, crash logs, and general interaction events. This data is not used to identify you by name and is not sold.
  • Support communications: If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content).

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide dual-camera capture, layouts, filters, editing, and local gallery features.
  • Save content to your device or to Photos when you request it.
  • Measure feature usage and improve reliability through analytics.
  • Diagnose and fix crashes through Crashlytics.
  • Respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your camera recordings for advertising.

4. Device Permissions

BothCam may request:

  • Camera: Required to capture photos and videos with front and back cameras.
  • Microphone: Used when you record video with audio enabled.
  • Photo Library (Add Only): Used only when you choose to save recordings to Photos.

You can manage or revoke permissions in iOS Settings → BothCam. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your recordings are stored on your iPhone unless you export or delete them. We use industry-standard safeguards for any data processed by our service providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect information handled through the app and our vendors.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): Analytics and crash reporting (Crashlytics). May process device identifiers, diagnostics, and usage events as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Inc.:BothCam runs on iOS and may use system frameworks for camera, photos, and app distribution through the App Store, subject to Apple's privacy practices.

7. Your Choices & Rights

  • Delete recordings anytime from the in-app gallery.
  • Turn off "Save to Photos" in app Settings.
  • Revoke camera, microphone, or photo permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Uninstall the app to remove locally stored BothCam data from your device (exports already saved to Photos remain in your library until you delete them there).

8. Children's Privacy

BothCam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

BothCam may be used from different countries. Firebase providers may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using the app, you understand that limited technical data may be transferred to those locations.

10. App Store Privacy Labels

Apple's App Privacy nutrition label for BothCam summarizes data types such as identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics collected through Firebase. Those labels should be read together with this policy.

11. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the Effective Date above. Continued use of BothCam after changes means you accept the updated policy.
